When it comes to effective cybersecurity, it truly takes a village.

Hosted by CANARIE, the goal of the Canadian SecuR&E Forum is to build community and foster learning and knowledge-sharing by connecting all those contributing to cybersecurity across Canada’s research and education (R&E) sector.

In R&E, cybersecurity is more than a technical challenge — it’s a shared responsibility that spans IT, risk management, compliance, and beyond. Through plenary sessions and technical and executive breakouts, the SecuR&E Forum brings together the spectrum of all those who contribute to cybersecurity at Canada’s universities, colleges, polytechnics, and cégeps. 

Connect, collaborate, and lead alongside all your colleagues who are strengthening the R&E sector’s collective cyber resilience.

Please note: Rooms include two double beds or one king bed. You can request a specific type of bed by noting this in the “Special Requests” box in the “Room Requests and Accessibility” tab after selecting your dates.

Room reservations – cut-off date

The last day you can book reservations in the group room block is Friday, September 5, 2025, by 12 p.m. PT. Rooms will sell out so please book early.

Please note:  Upon booking, the hotel will collect a deposit equal to one night’s stay. This deposit is refundable if you cancel your reservation at least 72 hours prior to your check-in time, after which time your deposit will be forfeited. Payment for your reservation will be due in full at check-in.

Photo and Recording Policy

Any person who attends a CANARIE event or workshop grants permission to CANARIE to use and publish their image or likeness collected in connection with the event, for any usual and customary purpose of CANARIE, including promotion of CANARIE and its programs.

The image or likeness of participants at this event may be captured through still photos, video and/or audio recordings. These images and/or recordings may be edited, printed, streamed, archived, broadcast, posted online and otherwise retained by CANARIE or made available to the public. By participating in this event, a participant consents to CANARIE performing these actions, and agrees to hold harmless CANARIE and its affiliates, members, trustees, agents, officers, contractors, volunteers and employees against any and all legal claims arising out of, by reason of, or caused by the performance of these actions or other use or distribution of still photos, video and/or audio recordings.

Cancellations must be submitted by email to registration@canarie.ca. All email correspondence must originate from the account on the record of registration in order to be considered a valid request. Cancellations received on or before September 18, 2025 will receive a full refund, less an administration fee of $25. Cancellations received on or after September 19, 2025 will not be eligible to receive a refund. Registrations can be transferred at anytime, with no processing fee.
